The POC Cularis helmet uses an EPS liner and a polycarbonate outer shell. Aramid bridges between the helmet liner and shell enhance structural stability and penetration protection.
Lightweight Construction
Despite being super safe, the POC Cularis also somehow manages to be really lightweight as well. It weighs in at just 360 grams in the medium size, making it POC's lightest MTB helmet.
Mips Air Node
Rotational impacts are the main cause of serious concussion in mountain bike crashes. The latest MIPS Air Node tech has been integrated into the helmet liner. Areas or ‘Nodes’ of hook-and-loop fabric fasteners add extra protection against rotational impacts. The nodes are designed to release precisely where the impact occurs, which lets the padding slide laterally to reduce the energy transferred to your brain.
Patented Brake-Away Visor
POC's patented break-away helmet peak detaches from the helmet in a crash or if it gets hooked on a tree branch (looking at you Sticky Forest!). By breaking off it directs impact forces away from your head – especially the twisting forces that can hurt your neck. After the impact it’s easy to reattach the visor and get rolling again.-
Built-in RECCO Rescue Technology
Lost or injured in the backcountry? No problem! The RECCO locating signal reflector built into the helmet will make you easy to find by Search and Rescue.
CFD Optimised Ventilation
When you first see the new POC Cularis you’ll definitely notice the absolutely massive vents POC has developed using CFD, which stands for Computational Fluid Dynamics modelling,a design technique normally used for road riding helmets. There are giant vent scoops on the front of the helmet, with large exhaust ports in the back to channel cool air around your head. This feature alone is a game-changer for searing hot summer days.
Highly Adjustable Fit
The POC Cularis features a vertically-adjustable rear cradle and an easy-to-use dial for tightening and loosening. The straps are adjustable up, down, and side-to-side. A magnetic Fidlock® buckle makes fastening and unfastening the helmet easy with just one hand.
Sunglasses Garage
Tuck your sunglasses out of the way securely in the integrated glasses garage, handily located in the front ventilation ports.
