XCEL is a core wetsuit brand appreciated by serious surfers and water sports enthusiasts for its durability, fit and flexibility. XCEL was founded in the home of surfing – Hawaii – in 1982 and since then has been awarded 'SEMA Wetsuit of the Year' on three occasions in recognition of its innovative approach to wetsuit materials and design.

At Outside Sports we’ve begun our relationship with XCEL Wetsuits by stocking the XCEL AXIS range, which is probably the best entry level wetsuit available in New Zealand.

XCEL AXIS wetsuits feature the unbeatable combination of the warmth and comfort all that XCEL wetsuits are known for – at a surprisingly affordable price.

Premium Features of XCEL AXIS Surfing Wetsuits

Even though you’re saving money on your XCEL AXIS wetsuit, you’re definitely not being shortchanged on the premium features.

Stretch and Warmth Where You Need It Most

Xcel wetsuits Thermo Dry Infrared

XCEL AXIS wetsuits use premium Superprene Japanese limestone neoprene, which is super stretchy and warm.

XCEL’s Thermo Lite Infrared (IR) chest panel gives you added stretchiness where you most want it for paddling and popping up.

Flexibility combined with reinforced Fusion X taped stress points adds extra durability to your Xcel wetsuit, so you can enjoy it for many seasons to come.

But the benefits of a Thermo Dry Infrared (IR) interior don’t end there. This technology, which is exclusive to XCEL, is lighter weight and more flexible than standard neoprene linings, with a plush   Infrared fiber that actually generates heat while you surf.

A watertight zipper that eliminates those pesky leaks that trickle down your back and adds warmth in chilly conditions.

Triple glued and blind stitched seams enhance strength and leak proofing.

Surf More Sustainably With XCEL Wetsuits

XCEL also uses recycled oyster shells in place of calcium carbonate in their neoprene.

Dope-dying infuses dye pigments into a molten plastic solution to produce colored yarns without the dyeing process. This saves a massive amount of water while reducing energy consumption and water pollution. Water-based glue eliminates harmful, volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
