Bi-Weekly

Summit Series Backcountry Snow Backpack

Eight bi-weekly winners will be selected across the season, with four Men's and four Women's winners. Each winner will receive a The North Face Summit Series Backcountry Snow Backpack valued at $380 each.

How to Enter

1. Capture your best line
Film your best ski or snowboard moments this winter. POV clips and clips filmed by your mates are both welcome.

2. Share it on Instagram
Upload your clip, add @outsidesports as a collaborator, and include #LocalLines in your post.

3. Keep entering
Enter as many clips as you like throughout the competition. Whether it’s inbounds, park or backcountry, we want to see your best riding.

Competition Dates

The competition runs from 1 August to 30 September 2026.

Every two weeks we'll award prizes for the best men's and women's rides from the previous fortnight. Grand Prize winners will be selected from the bi-weekly winners and announced in October.

Riders can only win one bi-weekly prize. If a rider wins more than one round, the runner-up for that round will instead receive the bi-weekly prize.

Judging

Bi-weekly winners will be selected by the Outside Sports team.

Grand Prize winners will be judged by The North Face athletes Ben Richards, reigning FIS and FWT World Champion, and Roland Morley-Brown.

Eligibility

Open to skiers and snowboarders living in New Zealand's Southern Lakes region during winter 2026.

You are not eligible if you:

  • Are visiting the region on holiday.
  • Work for Outside Sports.
  • Are an employee or sponsored athlete of The North Face.
